28.1.09

The previous week was a nice respite from classes and from traveling elsewhere. For my other two breaks I was out of country and/or the Paris area. I slept in, stayed home, chilled out and have spent some great long mornings with the Lord. But I also wanted to utilize the time to see some sites that I have not yet had the opportunity to enjoy.

So
Thursday I went to the Louvre and spent a good long while in the exhibit of Mesopotamia. It was really cool to see artifacts from bible times and ponder on Scripture and acts of God during that time! Of course I also checked out other sections such as paintings and sculptures.

Friday I meant to
go to the aquarium but instead went to see covered roads in Paris with some friends. That night I was invited to a friends for a soiree and we played games and hung out.
Sunday a friend invited me to hear him preach at a church in Paris- the first Baptist church in Paris. That was a cool experience and afterward he invited me to his place for a Brazilian meal. I am always in for a free meal and a home cooked international meal at that! We had a great time of fellowship.

Please continue to pray for a good grade on my exam, preparation for the next semester (God willing advanced) and faithfulness in reviewing last semester's subject material during my break.
Luke 9:23 says, "Then Jesus said, "If anyone wishes to follow me, he must deny himself, take up his cross daily and follow me." Thanks!

  1. Hey Seth! You've added a few posts since the last time I visited your post. It's good to hear what you are up to. We will pray specifically for continued help with school.
Thing are well here...lots of snow and cold. The sun is out today, so that is helping to warm things up a bit, but we'll see what the weekend holds.
A great big hello from the three of us! We praise God from whom all blessings flow!!

  2. That sounds great! How fun that you could chill at the Louvre for awhile. Most of what I remember from when I was there was how amazingly huge it was, and how many more days I wish I could have spent, making sure I saw everything. :) And you get to go back whenever you'd like! YAY! It seems like a long time that they wait to give you your test results back! So suspenseful!! We'll look forward to hearing about it.
