22.1.08

I recently recieved an email from my home church, Rochy Mountain Bible Church, informing me of an upcoming missions committee meeting (28.1 @ 18:30) which will focus on me. I will give a short financial update and then they will discuss what God would have them do regarding financially supporting me. This is itself an answer to prayer as I was previously told (spring of '07) that they could make no more commitments due to the strain put on the budget from the '07 mission trip to Uganda and the building project (this has been completed). In addition it did not appear at that time that God had given them a heart for me, concerning becoming my sending chuch- they have always been behind me as a person praise God- or France therefore I have since been praying for God's will concerning this subject.

I write to you firstly to ask that you would put this item to faithful and vehement prayer as this date approaches. My prayer is that the church will commit $1,500/month God willing. Secondly

My target departure date of March is quick approaching and my financial support level is currently at about 27%- I need 90% to be given clearance to purchase my airline tickets and 100% to leave. Next week Sunday-Saterday I will be fasting every lunch and commit that time to prayer for this subject. I would ask you to join me in prayer and fasting whether every lunch next week several or perhaps just one lunch period. Your participation and sacrifice would be greatly appreciated! If this is something you would desire to do please contact me with the dates you will be involved.

This past Sunday night we had a man from Uganda speak. Morris has a vision for planting many churches around Mbali. When a mission team comes to help, as my home church did this past summer, they build a church and then fill it with people. The world would call this foolish. However as Morris mentioned, where the Lord leads He provides. He commands us in Matthew 28:19-20 to "Go and make disciples of all nations..." If God tells us to go will He not also provide the means! I Thessalonians says, "He who calls you (God) is faithful and He will do it." God has called me to participate in His ministry in France and therefore I am assured that He will provide for its accomplishment.

I look forward to seeing God's mighty and wonderful works!
